Our
Demartino is a family-run, traditional Italian restaurant, serving classic and contemporary dishes covering all regions in Italy. The restaurant has been an institution within the Fitzrovia for over 30 years and is well-known for its relaxed atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, and welcoming staff.
Our story began in 1990, when Mario Inzani opened his sandwich bar La Perrigina, which quickly made its name delivering a true taste of Italy in a small but lively shop.
When Julian and Davide came along in 2001 they wanted to show that a crazy yet passionate Italian family could even achieve more. La Perrigina changed it named to Demartino and our team set out to create a New York Style Italian dining experience in the heart of London.
Despite the name change, ultimately their goal stayed the same from the start - to showcase how true Italian food should taste. 30 years on and we’re still going strong. Demartino has become London’s neighbourhood Italian, serving classic dishes using the freshest of ingredients.
Our menu has a wide range of selection of fresh fish and meats delivered daily, and a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, cooked to perfection by our talented and creative chefs. Demartino is well known for our authentic pasta dishes, daily specials and handpicked selection of fine wines, covering the best that Italy has to offer.
